Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) The following questions and answers are designed to help you understand the research-paper publishing programme of the Journal of Education, Humanities, Management and Social Sciences (JEHMSS).
The goal of the publishers of the Journal of Education, Humanities, Management and Social Sciences (JEHMSS) is to provide and sustain an international multidisciplinary platform for assembling, publishing and sharing research papers among researchers in the fields of education, humanities, management and social sciences.
JEHMSS is a bimonthly journal; it is published every two months (January, March, May, July, September, and November). It is published at the end of the month.
You can submit your paper at any time. If accepted, your paper will be published in the next bimonthly issue of the journal.
Our goal is to enhance and encourage cross-fertilization of ideas among educationists, scholars in the humanities, management and social sciences. As such, we welcome research papers in the following areas: EDUCATION: Research in any aspect of the Education spectra – including studies emanating from courses/subjects offered by the various departments of faculties of education in the universities. Papers in the field of education from researchers affiliated to polytechnics, colleges of education, and seminaries are also welcome. HUMANITIES: Academic research in the following or related areas: English, French, Literary Studies, Linguistics, Philosophy, History, Fine and Applied Arts, Mass Communication, Theatre Arts, Filmmaking, Music, Academic Study of Religion, Media Studies, Cultural Studies, and Culinary Art. MANAGEMENT & SOCIAL SCIENCES: Academic research in the following or related areas: Economics, Management, Business Administration, Accountancy, Banking, Finance, Marketing, Insurance, Statistics, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Law, Anthropology, Archeology, Criminology, Security Studies, Public Administration, International Relations, Geography, Library and Information Science, Hospitality and Tourism, Development Studies, Peace and Conflict Studies.
You will pay only $35 or ₦45,000 to publish your paper. This payment covers the cost of peer-review, online publication, indexing and life-time archive of your paper.
The first step to being published by JEHMSS is to submit your paper. Whether you are paying from within or outside Nigeria, the letter conveying the Editorial Board’s acceptance of your paper shall indicate how you will pay your paper-publication fee.
Your paper, as submitted, is peer-reviewed, and either approved or disapproved. If approved, that approval is communicated to you and you will be asked to pay the paper-publication fee to enable JEHMSS proceed with further processing of your paper. Thereafter, your paper is checked for plagiarism and editing/presentation errors; then, your paper’s web page is designed and hosted. If copyright infringements are identified in your paper, the editor-in-chief might correct them or your attention may be drawn to them and you will be asked to correct them. JEHMSS will guide you on how to rework and resubmit your paper for publication if you have paid its publication fee.
JEHMSS would refuse to publish any paper that is poorly researched, contains plagiarized materials, libelous statements or pornographic matter.
No, but such authors would be entitled to being published by JEHMSS in the next issue of the journal or any other future issue if they avail themselves of any of these two remedial options: (i) substantially rework their paper, painstakingly excising all aspects of the paper lifted from someone else’s work or expressly using quotation marks to identify such portions and clearly indicating their authors. (ii) submit another well-research and properly-referenced paper for the consideration of JEHMSS Editorial Board. 10. Do you publish hard-copy editions of JEHMSS? JEHMSS is primarily an online journal and the aforesaid payment covers only the online publication which anyone can have access to any time. However, a hard copy or copies of the journal, upon special request, can be produced for a contributor who orders and pays for their printing, binding and shipping. |
